Renee Descoutures-CT Child Portrait Photographer :Kiarra

So here we are at the end of September and right in the middle of apple season. As you know I've been back blogged and am still posting sessions from over the summer. Here is a session that was done on the perimeter of an apple orchard just as the fruit was beginning to grow.

Kiarra was my model for the day.She is one of my beautiful and photogenic little nieces. With a cute sundress, hat & braids, she was perfect for this location!

I love capturing the details that remind you of childhood. Like in the shot below...what little kid doesn't have a band-aid somewhere at any given time?..and there is just the last bit of nail polish left on her thumb...so cute!

What a natural little model!!

Gotta love the sassiness in this next shot!

A sweet innocent face and then..

a little glimmer of fiesty!

Laughing at me being silly.

And a big smile to finish up! This really was one of the last shots..she was so adorable I couldn't stop snapping away and she was happy to take a break;)

This was such a fun session and I can't even begin to pick favorites! Can you? Let me know...I love feedback!

Thanks for stopping by!

-Renee

P.S. Kiarra, thank so much for being such a great model! You are absolutely adorable! We love you!!

Renee Descoutures- CT Newborn Photographer: Baby Dante

Baby Dante!

Absolute perfection at just 3 weeks old and a dream baby to photograph. Honestly, my easiest newborn session to date!

Once I was set up I laid him down to get some awake shots...

and minutes later he dozed right off to sleep, just like that!

He was so peaceful I almost didn't want to move him and decided that was the perfect time for detail shots. A kind and trusting friend lent me a Canon 100mm macro lens to get the next two shots.. and it was amazing!

I've taken pictures of a lot of baby hands and toes... but these are my favorites to date. That lens is a must have on my list.

I switched him onto his belly and he quickly opened and then closed his eyes once again and snuggled himself back to sleep.

And one last shot with the proud new parents!

Sherry and Jerry, Thank you so much for having me over to capture little Dante's first pictures! He is an absolute sweetheart!

Renee Descoutures - CT Senior Portrait Photographer :Kristin

So one of my goals this year was to expand the high school senior side of my business. I feel like seniors need more opportunity to showcase their personality in their senior portraits. Getting out of the traditional studio setting is a great place to start.

Meet Kristin! She is fun, outgoing and totally up for some modern senior portraits! She is very feminine but also has a little edge to her. We shot at a few different locations to showcase just that. Here are a few taken near some old factory buildings. I have to say that her mom(like most) was totally skeptical about this location but ended up loving the images I was able to capture. She is just gorgeous! We also headed over to the Aqua Turf(which was mom's first choice) and captured the next few images. Another side of her that is equally as beautiful...The sun was still kind of high and bright so I decided to bring her under the weeping willow trees and shot this next one there. I love the lighting and how perfect her eyes match the leaves of the tree.
A great big THANK YOU to Kristin and her mom for choosing me to take her senior portraits! And of course for being so trusting and willing to try out some different locations.
Happy Senior Year Kristin!!

I'd love you hear what you think! Leave a comment below:)

Renee Descoutures - CT Portrait Photographer : Just Dance!

So this summer has been way busy and has just flown by! I am so incredibly back blogged. Some posts may be short and some may be combined but I am excited to share some of what I've been up to. So here it goes...

My niece, Miss Olivia, at her dance recital!

She's like an old pro at these recitals but it was the first time I have been able to see her perform. Naturally, I had to bring my camera. Here are a few shots I captured out in the hallway!

Take a look at this costume. Isn't it adorable?

Here she is getting silly.. I love that smile:)

What a beauty and all around great kid! I loved being part of her special day! We love you Olivia!
